Janey and Chad’s wedding at Elora Mill was exactly that—an intimate and heartfelt celebration with just the two of them and their children.
A Love Story Rooted in Family
Janey and Chad’s love story is a beautiful one, built on deep connection, shared experiences, and the joy of raising their blended family. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted something meaningful—something that reflected their journey, their love, and, most importantly, the people who mean the most to them. They initially planned a wedding for 40 guests but soon realized they were losing sight of what was truly important to them. So, they circled back to what felt most authentic—an intimate wedding with just their children, ensuring they knew how special love is and how meaningful a wedding should be, big or small.
Elora Mill, with its charming historic architecture and breathtaking views of the Grand River, provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding. The venue’s timeless elegance paired with the natural beauty of Elora Gorge created a romantic and cozy atmosphere for their day. With soft golden light filtering through the windows and the sound of the river in the background, every moment felt like a scene from a love story.
Their ceremony was nothing short of magical. Held in an intimate space at Elora Mill, Janey and Chad exchanged vows filled with love, gratitude, and promises for the future. Their children stood by their side, witnessing and celebrating the union of two people who have built a life together. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (including myself) as they sealed their vows with a kiss and embraced their family, now officially united.
After the ceremony, they shared an intimate dinner overlooking the river, filled with laughter, storytelling, and moments of pure happiness. With no distractions, they could truly be present with one another, soaking in the significance of the day. The focus was never on tradition or formality but rather on celebrating the love they share and the family they’ve built.
One of the most beautiful aspects of an intimate wedding is the ability to document raw, unscripted moments. Every emotion was real, every moment unfiltered. The love in the room was undeniable, and capturing these memories felt incredibly special.
